As the News director I read through a lot of news and some of it doesn’t end up on air. This can happen for a variety of reasons although the most common reason is length. Some news stories are simply too long or too short for me to record and put on air. However, I’d still like the audio from these cut news stories to be used, so through out the year I will be posting the audio of news stories that I wasn’t able to put on air. This will occasionally be extended cuts of stories that did air, but were trimmed down. This week is something of a special case. This is audio that was going to be used on air, but an unexpected audio glitch made me scrape the whole recording session. This strange thing is upon further review the audio glitch disappeared. Why? Well, it turns out that the glitch was caused by the faulty audio equipment I had brought from home, but that’s not a great way to end a story, so I usually tell people it was a ghost. After all it is getting close to All Hallows Eve.

Enjoy this haunted edition of the WVAC news blast, maybe don’t play it with the lights off
